Verna Mae's offers a variety of South Louisiana style comfort food just like Mama used to make.  The environment also stimulates the laid back, easy going lifestyle of New Orleans.   They bring all of the rich delicious flavors of home to the table.  They are family owned and operated. VM's is named in honor of the family Matriarch, Verna Mae.

Verna Mae's has stood the test of time which is no easy feat in the Cajun restaurant business in Houston, TX.  After hurricane Katrina, many lifelong residents of Louisiana made a permanent move to Houston, Texas.  This brought with it a culture of outstanding Cajun cooks and restaurants.
